Ladbrokes to Title Sponsor Scottish Professional Football League.
Leading online betting and gaming company, Ladbrokes, has entered into a sponsorship deal with Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) in terms of which it will become the latter’s new main sponsor as from next season.
The new deal is said to be worth slightly over £4m and is due to run for a period of two years.
The new deal is the biggest of its kind in Scottish football and sees the four leagues that are covered by the SPFL being known as the Ladbrokes Premiership, Ladbrokes Championship, Ladbrokes League 1 and Ladbrokes League 2 from the begging of the new season in August.
The deal will see Ladbrokes being given rights across all four leagues and 42 clubs and the group is planning to run several activations through the different rights of its partnership with SPFL.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ladbrokes, Jim Mullen, said that the partnership will help to propel them and the SPFL to new heights.
