Match Fixing Criminals Arrested

Match Fixing Criminals Arrested by UK Authorities:

Six men, who are alleged to have been involved in match fixing in football games held in the United Kingdom, have been arrested by the UK National Crime Agency.

Del Facey, a former footballer turned agent, was one of the men arrested by the Agency while three other footballers were also among those brought in for questioning.

The matter was brought to light after the Daily Telegraph sent undercover reporters to film a Singapore based match fixer who undertook to fix football games in the UK in return for tens of thousands of pounds.  The footballers involved in the match fixing were part of Lower League teams and no Premier League clubs have been implicated.
