Striker Kris Boyd has recently made his statement to the football world that he would not be leaving Rangers.  Statements made by Boyd assured that he would remain with the club and he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.  Boyd whose contract is set to expire next summer will remain with the club until a contract extension is offered.

Boyd stated that he is not concerned with his contract situation and his main objective was to get back on the score sheet.  Club officials stated that there would be no contract extensions this year.

The 25 year-old striker recently had a terrific game against Hamilton, adding a double that he contributed in the 4-1 victory on Saturday August 29th.

Boyd was offered a deal that would have sent the striker to Birmingham City in January and speculation of Turkey’s interest in the striker.  Many of the speculations that were surfacing over many football sites across the globe about Boyd leaving Ibrox were false.

Boyd is satisfied at Ibrox and is not seeking a deal from any other clubs at this time.  Ibrox is where Boyd feels like he is at home and is welcomed by the fans.  Boyd made his statement in time enough for the transfer deadline, which is Tuesday.
