Scotland was once known to produce some of the world’s greatest football players and was known as a football nation. Now that the countdown to the 2010 World Cup games that will be played in South Africa Scotland are adding Scotland’s top players to their roster to give them a chance at winning a World Cup place.
Scotland has added key players such as Kilmarnock striker, Kevin Kyle and Ranger’s defender David Weir to the Scotland roster. Due to an injury Cardiff striker Ross McCormack ruled himself out of the 2010 World Cup Qualifying games due to a hamstring tear. Scotland face Macedonia and Netherlands in the World Cup qualifier matches held next week. So for next month’s qualifier the Scotland team must depend on Kyle’s campaign to prove to the world that Scotland is still a football nation. The chances are slim though with Scotland needing miracles to secure a place in next years finals. |
