After a spectacular opening the football got underway but it took until the 70th minute for the goal to be scored and for Czech Republic to get ahead in the match. 

The Czech Republic has a slow start with the Swiss Captain Alexander Frei making numerous opportunities for Switzerland to take the lead early on but the failed to get any in the back of the net. 

The Czech team will be delighted with the win although it will be a huge blow for the hosts Switzerland who would have loved to make more of an impression in the opening match.
